  • Hello,

    We apologize for the issue you are facing with your website’s SEO rankings. It can be quite frustrating when your pages disappear from Google search results after initially ranking well.

    There are several potential reasons why this might be happening:

    1. Blocked Crawling: Ensure that your site is not blocking Google from crawling it. Check your robots.txt file and any settings in your SEO plugin that might prevent indexing.

    2. Indexing Issues: Use the Google Search Console to check if your site has been indexed properly. You can also monitor the index status using Rank Math’s Analytics by navigating to Rank Math SEO → Analytics and clicking on the Index Status tab. This will show you the real-time status of your pages.

    3. Security Issues: If Google detects security vulnerabilities on your site, it may penalize you by removing your pages from search results. Check for any security issues in the Google Search Console.

    4. Penalties: If you have been using any black hat SEO tactics or if your content is deemed low-quality, Google may penalize your site. Ensure that you are following best practices for SEO and providing valuable content.

    5. Recent Changes: If you made significant changes to your site settings or content, it might take time for Google to re-evaluate your site. Sometimes, temporary fluctuations in rankings can occur after changes are made.

    If you continue to experience issues, please reply to this ticket with more details about your site, including the URL, so a human agent can assist you further. Thank you for raising this concern, and we’re here to help you resolve it!

    And there is one more issue i.e. rank math sitemap most of the times show error 404. When i increase the number of links, it start working for some time but after that it again shows error 404. I excluded all the links from caching, optimization.
    I also added the code in functions.php:
    /**
    * Filter if XML sitemap transient cache is enabled.
    *
    * @param boolean $unsigned Enable cache or not, defaults to true
    */
    add_filter( ‘rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching’, ‘__return_false’);

    And in .htaccess:
    # START of Rank Math Sitemap Rewrite Rules
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteRule ^sitemap_index.xml$ /index.php?sitemap=1 [L]
    RewriteRule ^([^/]+?)-sitemap([0-9]+)?.xml$ /index.php?sitemap=$1&sitemap_n=$2 [L]
    RewriteRule ^([a-z]+)?-?sitemap.xsl$ /index.php?xsl=$1 [L]
    # END of Rank Math Sitemap Rewrite Rules

    But the issue is still there

    Its robots.txt code:
    User-agent: *
    Disallow: /wp-content/uploads/wc-logs/
    Disallow: /wp-content/uploads/woocommerce_transient_files/
    Disallow: /wp-content/uploads/woocommerce_uploads/
    Disallow: /wp-admin/
    Allow: /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php

    Sitemap: https://gadgetize.pk/sitemap_index.xml

    When i check site:gadgetize.pk, all the pages are there but does not appear on any keyword of any page or product while on the day before yesterday it was being ranked.

    Manual Action and security issues on console does not show any issues.

    Hello,

    We checked your website, and we can see the sitemap is working properly without any issues:

    Regarding the ranking, you can check your Google Search Console Page Indexing report to determine any issues reported on your site: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/7440203?hl=en

    You can share the error message or take a screenshot using this tool and add the link here so we can check as well.

    However, please note that ranking on Google depends on so much more than just your on-page optimization. You could have the perfect article and still struggle to break the top 10 in SERPs. Here are some of the factors Google considers when ranking you:

    1. Your website’s authority
    2. Your content’s quality and how better it is than the other article currently ranking.
    3. How competitive the keyword is.
    4. How many backlinks you have and if they are better than what the other guys ranking for that keyword have.
    5. Your website’s crawlability.
    6. Frequency of new content and content updates.
    7. So much more that there is a dedicated blog post on it by Brian Dean 🙂 https://backlinko.com/google-ranking-factors

    We would recommend that you keep at it and work on acquiring more links to break into the top SERPs. Here are a few resources we think you will find useful while devising an SEO strategy.

    How i can provide you indexing report?

    I think there is some other issue. It ranks for some time but suddenly its ranking on keywords disappears.

    Hello,

    Please follow the steps below:

    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
    https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

    3. Apply the following filter code to your site.

    add_filter( 'rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching', '__return_false');

    Here’s how you can add filter to your WordPress site:https://rankmath.com/kb/wordpress-hooks-actions-filters/

    4. Remove all your sitemaps from your Google Search Console and re-submit only the index sitemap (https://website.com/sitemap_index.xml)

    As for the continuing ranking issue on your end, if the affected pages are indexing fine on the SERP (you can check it by using this query: site:https://yourwebsite.com/your-content-slug), then this is just a matter of optimizing your content for the preferred keyword, as we explained previously. We suggest checking if your website is affected by the recent core updates from Google.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Dear, I told you that I have already done that

    Hello,

    Please try to remove all the submitted sitemaps again from your Google Search Console and resubmit /?sitemap=1 and see if that works for you.

    For more details, you can check this URL: https://rankmath.com/kb/couldnt-fetch-error-google-search-console/#rename-the-sitemap

    If the issue persists, please click on the sub-sitemap and share a screenshot of the error so that we can check the issue further for you.

    Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.
