Hello,
Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Can you please follow these steps?
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp
2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/
You may also refer to this KB guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/sitemap-404-error/
If the issue persists, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress login in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
We really look forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Thank you for your reply Jeremy, I attempted to flush the cache as you recommended but I still get an error when I try to open to tags sitemap and also google search console cannot fetch the link either.
I have provided the login details, I hope your team can help with this.
Thank you
Hello,
Thanks for getting back.
I checked and figured out that your Tags were set to noindex in the WP Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Tags. That’s why Rank Math wasn’t generating the sitemap for the tags and you were getting a 404 error.
I have set your Tags to index and now you can check that the tag sitemap is working fine. Please remove all previously submitted sitemaps from your GSC account and resubmit your main sitemap(sitemap_index.xml) and wait for Google to crawl.
Hope this helps. Let us know if you need any further assistance.
