Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with the sitemap generated by Rank Math. It seems like you’ve already tried several troubleshooting steps, which is great. Here are a few additional suggestions that might help resolve the errors you’re encountering:
-
Check for Plugin Conflicts: Sometimes, other plugins can interfere with the sitemap functionality. You can use the Health Check plugin to identify any conflicts.
-
Flush Permalinks Again: Although you’ve already done this, it can sometimes help to do it more than once. Go to Settings → Permalinks and click Save Changes again.
-
Validate Your Sitemap: Use the Validate XML Sitemap tool to check if your sitemap is correctly configured. This can help identify specific issues with the sitemap structure.
-
Check Robots.txt File: Ensure that your robots.txt file is not blocking access to your sitemaps. You can check this in Rank Math SEO → General Settings → robots.txt.
-
Ensure Posts Are Set to Index: Make sure that your posts are set to index. Go to Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta and ensure the Index checkbox is enabled for your posts.
-
Clear Cache: If you are using any caching plugins, clear the cache after making changes to ensure that the latest version of your sitemap is being served.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, we recommend considering our professional setup service for a comprehensive review and assistance with your Rank Math settings. This service requires a PRO subscription and is designed to ensure your plugin setup adheres to the latest SEO standards.
Thank you for raising this concern, and we hope these suggestions help you resolve the sitemap issues soon!

Troubleshooting the “Couldn’t Fetch” Error in Google Search Console » Rank Math
Hello,
Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.
Please share the latest screenshot of the Sitemap report from your GSC account so we can take a closer look at it.
Looking forward to helping you.
Hello
Is there some one who can answer my question ?
Thanks
Hello,
We tested your sitemap and subsites, and didn’t detect any errors/issues on them:

Please follow this guide to troubleshoot the couldn’t fetch issue: https://rankmath.com/kb/couldnt-fetch-error-google-search-console/
If everything is fine on your end, and Google still returns the error, please note that not all sitemaps are processed by Google. Not necessarily because there is something wrong with the sitemap.
Even a perfect sitemap may not be processed by Google.
Most of the time, it’s still sitting in the queue waiting for processing. Remember, Google is processing millions of sitemap daily, sometimes it takes time to get to yours. But for whatever reason, Google never gets around to some sitemaps. It just doesn’t think it is worth it.
And Search Console sometimes shows ‘Pending’ as ‘couldn’t fetch’ incorrectly. You can check the replies of Google experts for the Couldn’t Fetch(especially for the TLDs except for .com) issues on the following threads:

We hope this helps. Please let us know if you have further questions or concerns.
Thank you.
I’m also wondering whether there might be any traces of Yoast left in the database.
If so, what MySql queries should be run?
Hello,
From the error you shared, you are inspecting the sitemap instead of submitting it.
Please note that RankMath sets the “noindex” tag on your sitemaps by default. It’s done this way because a sitemap is only meant to guide search engines through your site, not to rank in search results.
The reason you’re seeing it set to “noindex” is to prevent it from appearing in search results, which is the desired behavior.
You should follow this guide to properly submit your sitemap:
https://rankmath.com/kb/submit-sitemap-to-google/
Regarding the Yoast data, you can follow the steps in this link to remove them:

Looking forward to helping you.
To submit sitemap it’s exactly what I do
Hello,
Please share with us the notice shown on GSC when you remove all submitted sitemaps and only submit the main sitemap afresh, following this guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/submit-sitemap-to-google/
You can use the following tool to share images with us: https://imgur.com/upload
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.

Hello,
Do you have some ideas to fix my issues ?
Hello,
Thank you for the screenshots and sorry for the delay.
We’ve rechecked all the sitemaps, including those marked with errors in GSC, and they are loading correctly without any issues on our end.
Since Google Search Console doesn’t show a specific error and the sitemaps are valid, this seems to be an issue on Google’s side. In such cases, we recommend reaching out to the Google Search Central support team directly, as they are best positioned to investigate further.
Let us know if there’s anything else we can assist you with.
I had already contacted Google Support, who told me that the problem was with RankMath.
In this situation, I’m lost if everyone backs out.
Hello,
You can try using a different sitemap plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/xml-sitemap-generator-for-google/ to generate the sitemap and see if Google can read it. Please make sure to disable the Sitemap module of our plugin in WP Dashboard > Rank Math > Dashboard.
Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.
