RankMath & sitemap

Gooday, we have two wp installations on our site. One serves all the webpages the other is the members area where people can take courses.

My question is this, do we also need to install Rankmath on the wordpress installation located at https://mydomain.com/members because all our products are listed there including checkout pages and course information and logins. We use lifterlms which is installed in the /members directory. We have products that need to be indexed from the /members directory but google has not picked these products up in the search terms when we look at site:domain.com.

Im coming from AISEO and it has the ability to ADD additional links to the sitemap manually but i dont see this function in RankMath. How do we get products listed in the sitemap in the members area?

I dont really want to install Rankmath again in the members area because google should be able to follow product links from the main site -> the members site. We have nofollow links pointing to the members area.

    Thanks

  • Sorry i meant to say we have ordinary links pointing to products in the members area. Not nofollow lol.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention.

Could you please share the member’s page URL so we can check as well? You can add it in the sensitive data section

    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure, and only our support staff has access to that section.

Meanwhile, if the members’ directory has a separate WordPress installation, you can use and customize the filter in this link to add external URLs to your main sitemap:

    I hope that helps.

    Thank you.

Website is here https://www.wellnesscoaches.org this is where rankmath is installed.

members sites is here; https://www.wellnesscoaches.org/members/ lms is installed here; rankmath is not installed.

    We have two purchase links coming from wellnesscoaches.org that link to the members area;

    https://www.wellnesscoaches.org/members/course/certified-wellness-coach/ &
    https://www.wellnesscoaches.org/members/course/certified-wellness-coach-sample-course/

But these two links above do not appear in the sitemap because we do not have Rankmath installed in /members.

Will google still be able to index the above links even if rankmath is not installed in the members area?

How can you add those two links manually to the sitemap?

    Thanks

    Hello,

You can use the following filter to manually add the links to your sitemap: https://rankmath.com/kb/filters-hooks-api-developer/#add-extra-urls-in-sitemap

Here is how to add a filter to your site: https://rankmath.com/kb/wordpress-hooks-actions-filters/

Hope this helps. Let us know if you need any other assistance.

    Thanks.

Now im back to trying to reconnect it. Iv looked everywhere on the net at all the suggestions but no matter how many times i reconnect then try to select the 3 boxes it wont save anything.

    Hello,

Could you please confirm if you are using Firefox or Safari to save the Analytics settings?

If yes, could you please try saving the settings in Google Chrome? You can also try it in an incognito window of Chrome.

Please let us know how that goes.

    Thank you.

Firefox why does chrome have anything to do with it?

Ok thank you that worked! How long before i see data. We have data for those G4 and UA. Does it take awhile for it to import?

Also, on the members area should we install RankM? It will create a separate sitemap for everything there. Will google be ok reading a second sitemap? Should we also use the same G4 and UA variables or different ones?

    Hello,

Yes, it takes time for the data to be fetched.

If you wish to optimize the posts/products on your members area, you should install and configure Rank Math.

Rank Math will automatically generate a new sitemap for the members installation, if you wish to use the main sitemap, you can add the URLs manually to that sitemap by using the filter shared by my colleague above.

You can use the same tracking codes as only the installations are different.

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you.

Thank you very much. Have agreat day
