  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with adding redirections in Rank Math. It sounds frustrating, especially after moving to a new web host and redesigning your website.

There are a few potential reasons why the URLs might not be saving in the Redirections list:

    1. Database Issues: Sometimes, if certain database tables are missing, it can prevent redirections from being saved. You can try to recreate any missing database tables by navigating to Rank Math SEO → Status & Tools → Database Tools in your WordPress dashboard. If you don’t see the Database Tools option, make sure to enable Advanced Mode at the top-right area of the screen. Then, click on Re-create Missing Database Tables.
      Navigate to Database Tools
      Re-create Missing Database Tables

    2. Caching Issues: If your site is using a caching plugin, it might be serving cached pages that do not reflect the changes you are trying to make. Clear the cache from your caching plugin settings and also clear your browser cache to see if that resolves the issue.
Navigate to the settings of your caching plugin

    3. Redirection Conflicts: Check if there are any existing redirects that might conflict with the new ones you are trying to add. Sometimes, broad redirects can cause unexpected behavior.
      More than one redirection

If you continue to experience issues after trying these steps, please reply to this ticket with the specific URLs you are trying to redirect, and a human agent from our support team will assist you further. Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention!

Please see the URLs listed in the description of the problem report, which cannot be redirected.

    What could be causing this?

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us. We apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused.

It looks like you’re trying to add redirections where the source URL is from a different domain than your current site. Please note that the Rank Math Redirections feature is designed to work with URLs from your site’s domain. To handle redirections from an external domain, you’ll need to set up server-level redirects or use a tool on the original domain.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.

    Thank you.
