    Rankmath PRO plugin issue

    We have around 40K post tags created on our website. One of the rankmath function fetching all post tags for every wp-admin pages which is causing extremely slow on back-end pages.

    Root Cause is “News Sitemap PRO” . Not able to Exclude Post Terms from /wp-admin/admin.php?page=rank-math-options-sitemap#setting-panel-news-sitemap which is huge list.

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

    Our plugin loads all the taxonomies under the Exclude Post Terms option in the News Sitemap settings for your selected post type.

    Since you have a lot of tags, enabling the News Sitemap can cause issues. You will have to increase the server capabilities for News Sitemap to work fine.

    Also, it seems like you purchased the plugin with some other email address.

    Can you please search and forward a receipt from FastSpring.com so we can locate your account?

    n*@i****** is the email id we purchased Rankmath PRO plugin.

    I have no issues loading all the taxonomies on News Sitemap settings page.

    But issues is that all taxonomies (tags) are loading on all wp-admin pages which is extremely slowing down the back-end users.

    To Reproduce this issue, please enable News Sitemap from Rankmath Dashboard and install Query Monitor plugin.

    Step 1 – Please access any of the below link:

    /wp-admin/index.php
    /wp-admin/upload.php
    /wp-admin/edit.php
    /wp-admin/post.php?post=<ID>&action=edit
    /wp-admin/plugins.php

    Hello,

    Please note that the function in question is a default WordPress function and is used to add any terms from the given IDs to the cache if they don’t exist in the caching system.

    We register the options for the News Sitemap whenever the action cmb2_admin_init is run so that we can make sure that CMB2 is loaded before loading the options.

    Since that is running on the actual admin init of WordPress you’ll also see that action being called there.

    When dealing with so much data you need to make sure that the server resources can accommodate all of the data.
