    Rank Math free

Hi there. I recently set up RankMath on a client dev site. When I get to the part where I connect RankMath to GA4 (big blue button), I log into google but it never asks me to choose a site/client/profile therefore RankMath features are not available in WordPRess. My colleagues working on this site have the Pro version and tried several things but are having the same experience. Thank you for your help.

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with connecting Rank Math to GA4. It seems that you are not being prompted to select a specific site or profile during the connection process. This can happen if the permissions required for Rank Math to access your Google Analytics account are not set correctly.

To resolve this, please try the following steps:

    1. Disconnect and Reconnect: Disconnect your Google account from Rank Math and then reconnect it. This will prompt Rank Math to ask for permissions again, allowing you to select the appropriate site/client.
    2. Check Permissions: Ensure that you have granted all necessary permissions to Rank Math when connecting to your Google account. If any permissions are denied, it may prevent the selection of the site.
    3. Clear Cache: Sometimes, clearing your browser cache or trying a different browser can help resolve issues with the connection process.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please reply to this ticket with the URL of the client dev site so that we can assist you further. Thank you for raising this concern, and we look forward to helping you get this sorted out!

    Hello,

It seems that you haven’t set up the Rank Math plugin on your site through the Setup Wizard:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-access-setup-wizard/

If you have already finished it and the issue persists, then we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

Note it is not just me – also happening to a colleague using this site (They have pro, I do not). I have not had this problem previously.

    Hello,

To make sure that everything works correctly, please go through this article to set up the Analytics module: https://rankmath.com/kb/install-google-analytics/

If however, you are having challenges with this, then follow the steps below to fix it.

    1. Check to make sure that you have verified Google Search Console, if not, follow this guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/google-site-verification/

    2. Please make sure that you are not connecting to Google Search Console via a domain property but rather a URL prefix and that you have verified the correct version of your website on the Google Search Console (HTTP or HTTPS, www or non-www).

    3. Then remove Rank Math’s access from Google Please remove RankMath’s app from your Google apps permissions: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions

    4. Reconnect the Google account again to regenerate the auth token from Google, by going to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Analytics and configure the Search Console and Analytics settings again

Kindly check all necessary checkboxes to allow Rank Math to access some of the Google Services.

If the issue persists, please share your website’s WP admin login so we can check the issue further.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hello,

Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it could be caused by a conflict with one of your plugins/theme.

To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

Let us know how this goes.

    Thank you.
