RankMath is no-indexing category page

    Rank Math free

My category pages at https://elialaw.com are now no-index since I installed rankmath. If I turn off rankmath, then they’re indexed again. There is no conflict with the theme as this setting is not in the theme I use, and I can’t see how you can attribute this to a plugin conflict when it works fine without Rankmath.

If I turn off the no-index on empty tags and category page option, then the no-index goes away, but is not replaced with an index, follow tag. That’s the way I have it now.

I became aware of this problem when rank and traffic took dive and I started researching it. Is this the cause? Hard to tell, but it is something that needs to be fixed. Can you help?

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I am able to see follow, noindex inside your category pages. We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

We really look forward to helping you.

I don’t want a noindex. I want the category pages indexed.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your reply.

Could you please check the credentials again? It’s not working. I am getting the following error “ERROR: Incorrect username or password.”.

Please kindly update the credentials, Thank you.

Try “techsupport” as the user with the same password. Thank you.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your patience.

I’ve checked your site, and it seems that your Category Archives Robots Meta is set to No Index in Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Post: Categories
    Noindex Category

This option will set the default robots meta for your category pages. I’ve already set it to index and please verify your category pages if they are now set to index.

    I hope that helps.

Thank you, and looking forward to your update.

    Thank you!
