Hello,
I’m sorry to hear about the issue you are facing with the ‘rank_math_facebook_image’ field not reflecting on your webpage HTML. It seems like the global OpenGraph Thumbnail is always being displayed instead of the custom image you are setting.
Based on the information provided, it appears that even though you have updated the ‘rank_math_facebook_image’ field in the database, it is not being reflected on the webpage. This could be due to a priority conflict with the global OpenGraph Thumbnail setting.
To troubleshoot this issue, please ensure the following:
- Check if there are any conflicting settings in Rank Math that might be prioritizing the global OpenGraph Thumbnail over the custom image set in the ‘rank_math_facebook_image’ field.
- Verify that the custom image you are setting meets the recommended dimensions of 1200px by 628px and is in either webp or png format.
- Double-check the implementation of the code that updates the ‘rank_math_facebook_image’ field to ensure it is correctly updating the database.
If after checking these points, the issue persists, you may need to review the Rank Math settings and configurations to ensure that the custom image is given priority over the global OpenGraph Thumbnail.
If you continue to experience difficulties, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from our support team will assist you further.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this issue for you.
Best regards.

Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math support.
The image for OpenGraph tags is fetched from the rank_math_facebook_image_id
meta key. This field holds the ID of the image you set as the social image. You will have to change this field with the code to apply the correct image.
However, you can also use the following filter to update Facebook and Twitter image URLs in the front end: https://rankmath.com/kb/filters-hooks-api-developer/#change-opengraph-image
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
Thanks, updating the ’rank_math_facebook_image_id’ did the trick:)
