Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.
I’ve checked your sitemap, and it is returning a page not found error.
For initial troubleshooting, flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast (if not yet):
https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp
If the issue still persists, please add this filter to your active theme’s functions.php file:
add_filter( 'rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching', '__return_false');
Once done, clear your website’s cache and check again your sitemap.
Let us know how this goes.
Thank you.
Do you know where i can find the functions.php file in a given theme? In my case, the website is running Newspaper theme
Thanks in advance
Hello,
The functions.php file is at Appearance > Theme file editor > Functions.php
https://rankmath.com/kb/wordpress-hooks-actions-filters/#functions-php-file
If you don’t have that option, you can add the filter using the Code Snippets plugin:
https://rankmath.com/kb/wordpress-hooks-actions-filters/#code-snippets-plugin
Hope this helps.
Thank you.
I’ve tried your solution but still it does not work. I have to say that the sitemap appears as blank but there is code inside
Weird. Is there any other thing i can do?
Hello,
Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.
To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:
https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/
Here is a video you can follow as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcIWRhcUP2c
Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.
If the issue persists, please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
We really look forward to helping you.
Well, i think i have found the source of the error, which is weirder than expected. The problem is that the name of our website has an accent (Guardado Rápido) and when it creates the xml sitemap it includes a line like that:
<title>Ubicaciones del mapa del sitio – Guardado Rápido</title>
When trying to open the website in Firefox, it gives us the following error
XML Parsing Error: undefined entity
Location: https://www.guardadorapido.com/main-sitemap.xsl
Line Number 14, Column 57:
<title>Ubicaciones del mapa del sitio – Guardado Rápido</title>
That is, the accent of the á. When it finds this error, it is not able to go on and it is not able to show the website properly. How can we get rid of this kind of accents when using the xml sitemap generator?
Hello,
I tried checking your sitemap again and it seems to have loading properly now even with the accent in the title as you can see in my screenshots below (tested in both Chrome and Firefox):

Looking forward to helping you on this one.
