Rank Math SEO: ld+json Encoding Problem

I am using the Rank Math SEO plugin on my Turkish website. I have detected an error: When I look at the source code of my website, I see strange codes instead of Turkish characters in fields like ‘description’, ‘name’, and ‘caption’ within the ‘ld+json’ codes.

Example post title: Sakarya’da Büyük Skandal: Hasta Bilgileri Para Karşılığı Satıldı – Sağlık Haberi
The ‘name’ content within the ‘ld+json’ codes placed by Rank Math: “Sakarya'da Büyük Skandal: Hasta Bilgileri Para Karşılığı Satıldı – Sağlık Haberi”
As you can see, strange expressions are placed instead of Turkish characters. What should I do to solve this problem?

• Hello, we apologize for the issue you are facing with the ld+json encoding on your website. It seems that the Turkish characters are being encoded incorrectly in the JSON-LD schema markup generated by Rank Math.

To resolve this issue, please try the following steps:

1. Check Character Encoding: Ensure that your website is using UTF-8 character encoding. You can check this in your website’s HTML header. It should look like this:

2. Update Rank Math: Make sure you are using the latest version of the Rank Math plugin. Sometimes, updates include fixes for such issues.

3. Clear Cache: If you are using any caching plugins, clear the cache after making changes to ensure that the latest version of your pages is served.

4. Re-save Permalinks: Go to Settings > Permalinks in your WordPress dashboard and simply click Save Changes. This can sometimes resolve encoding issues.

5. Check for Conflicts: Disable other plugins temporarily to see if there is a conflict causing this issue with Rank Math.

If the problem persists after trying these steps, please reply to this ticket with your website URL so that a human agent from our support team can assist you further. Thank you for raising this concern, and we hope to resolve it quickly for you!

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us. We apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused.

It seems that you’re currently using the Rank Math PRO plugin, but the account you have used to open this ticket is the Rank Math free version.

Can you please search and forward a receipt from FastSpring.com so we can locate your account and verify it?

Looking forward to helping you.

Thank you.

A friend gifted me a Rank Math PRO license. I believe they activated it via the API. They connected to my website and activated Rank Math PRO. I don’t have any license details or purchase receipts for the license. I’m sorry.

Hello,

Please note that the PRO subscription is only for personal websites, and you cannot use this license on a client website or share it with your friends/family.

Also, we don’t offer support for nulled or cracked plugins as we explain here: https://rankmath.com/kb/rank-math-pro-nulled/

Regarding the Unicode characters, Rank Math automatically changes this for the special characters. But when Google fetches your page, it’ll see the actual text, so you don’t need to worry.

Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.

Thank you.
