Rank Math Score Dropped and Changes Not Reflected

Circling back to this issue, can you confirm if you’re using any page builders? If yes, then please let us know the name of the page builder.

This issue could be caused by a conflict with the plugin or theme you are using

Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

Also, you mentioned that “any changes done on WordPress are not reflected on Rank Math.”

In that case, please check if you are using a Firewall as it may prevent saving the changes.

Rank Math uses some Rest Routes to update the data on your pages. Sometimes, your website firewall blocks the Rest Routes which prevents Rank Math from saving the data.

In order to confirm this, we suggest you while saving the focus keyword on your site, please keep the browser console open in the “Network” tab and see what the status code of the following route: https://www.yourdomain.com/wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta?_locale=user

You can find the browser console in your browser following this guide: https://balsamiq.com/support/faqs/browserconsole/

​​​​​​​If it’s returning any other value than a 200, there’s something wrong with the route and we would request you to get in touch with your hosting provider to make sure that REST APIs are not getting blocked.

However, if it returns 200, then you can share your website logins in the sensitive data section so that we can check the issue further for you.

Yes, you’re doing it correctly to check the console issue.

From your screenshot, it seems that there’s a 403 error from your theme.

Could you please try deactivating the Rank Math plugin and check if the issue still persists?

Please note that all of the data you have already configured in Rank Math are saved in your database, so there shouldn’t be any data loss upon doing so.
