Rank Math Schema Markup Conflicts with Custom Post Types

#1110568
  • Hi Rank Math Team,

I’m experiencing an issue where the Rank Math schema markup isn’t rendering correctly for my custom post types on my website https://blackfridayy.fi/ . I’ve enabled schema in the Rank Math settings and assigned the default schema type, but when I inspect the page source or run it through Google’s Rich Results Test, the schema either doesn’t appear or shows validation errors related to missing required fields.

I’ve confirmed that the theme and other plugins aren’t overriding the schema, and I’ve also tried disabling caching and re-saving permalinks, but the issue persists. Could you help me troubleshoot why Rank Math isn’t outputting the schema properly for custom post types?

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the Rank Math schema markup not rendering correctly for your custom post types. Thank you for providing detailed information about the steps you’ve already taken.

To troubleshoot this issue, please consider the following steps:

    1. Check Custom Post Type Settings: Ensure that your custom post types are properly registered and that Rank Math is configured to recognize them. You can do this by going to Rank Math > Titles & Meta and checking if your custom post types are listed there.

    2. Schema Configuration: Make sure that you have assigned a schema type specifically for your custom post types. You can do this by navigating to Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Custom Post Types and selecting the appropriate schema type for each custom post type.

    3. Testing Schema Markup: After making any changes, use the Google Rich Results Test to check if the schema is now appearing correctly. This tool will help you identify any validation errors.

    4. Conflict Check: Since you’ve already checked for theme and plugin conflicts, ensure that no other schema-related plugins are active, as they can interfere with Rank Math’s output.

    5. Debugging: If the issue persists, consider enabling debugging in WordPress to see if any errors are being logged that could provide more insight into the problem.

If you’ve gone through these steps and the issue remains unresolved, we recommend replying to this ticket with any additional details or errors you encounter, and a human agent from our support team will assist you further.

Thank you for your patience, and we look forward to helping you resolve this issue!
