Unfortunately, Rank Math never supports HTML tags inside the FAQ Block.

but it did allow me to TYPE in the html tags before! but now it just filters it out.

At the moment, you can use the default customization offered by the Block Editor, as shown in the screenshot below.
There is also the possibility to make styling modifications using CSS.
