    Hi Rank Math Support,

    I have some questions from a perspective Rank Math Pro buyer.

    I looked through your guides, watched your videos, and was not able to find the answers to my questions.

    We currently use Yoast SEO.

    Podcasts

    1.) Regarding an on-going and already established podcast, over 200 episodes deep, if Rank Math Pro is activated, how does that affect the schema for each WordPress page that podcast was already published on?

    Will the schema be automatically changed/upgraded?

    2.) When I create a new podcast episode, host the episode on LibSyn, and paste the hosted episode URL into the Blubrry PowerPress WP plugin, will Rank Math automatically detect the mp3 in the post and add the podcast schema? Is there an auto setting for that?

    3.) Can my Blubrry settings be imported into Rank Math?

    1.) Image Title / Alt – I use two plugins that automatically take an uploaded image file name, makes the first letter of every word capitalized, deletes the numbers and special characters, and adds the result to the Title and Alt slots for an uploaded image. Does Rank Math do that?

    Sitemap

    1.) When I activate the Rank Math sitemap module, I replace the Yoast SEO sitemap in Bing Webmaster Tools with the Rank Math sitemap?

    2.) In Bing Webmaster Tools, do I place all the sitemaps there: Regular, News, and Video?

    Podcasts

    1. Are you currently using Podcast Schema on your website running with Yoast? Although we import Schema if you are using Schema in Yoast, but we want to know if you have Podcast Schema or if you are using a 3rd party integration offered in Yoast for the Podcast Schema?

    2. Unfortunately, the Podcast Schema is not yet automated. You have to enter the audio file manually in the designated field: https://i.rankmath.com/i/OUfXbi

    However, if the MP3 file URL is saved as a custom field, we can help you automate this.

    3. We do not offer import for Blubrry, unfortunately.

    Images

    1. We offer a lot of image SEO options to help capitalize the first alphabet, and offer replacements.

    Here is a screenshot of the image SEO settings:

    Sitemap

    1. We use the same file so you do not need to update the sitemap URL in either Bing or Google. We use sitemap_index.xml – the same as Yoast.

    2. There is no need for that. Bing will grab rest of the sitemaps automatically from the sitemap index file I mentioned above.

    Thanks for the reply.

    I use the standard schema for Yoast, including on podcast pages.

    We are using no 3rd party integration offered in Yoast for the Podcast Schema.

    2. It would be a new URL per episode.

    This should be my final question for now.

    I see that Rank Math is suggesting short URLs for SEO.

    Does Rank Math have a feature that removes stop words from a generated slug?

    In addition to my reply yesterday, I have a few more questions.

    1.) I currently have Site Kit by Google active on my website.

    Site Kit has added:

    Universal Analytics Code Snippet
    Google Analytics 4 Code Snippet

    The Rank Math Analytics module is active but I have not added any Google code from it onto the site:

    If I deactivate Site Kit, will Rank Math add:

    As you can see, my Google Analytics account is a bit of a mess, which is why I am asking.

    Any tips on cleaning it up?

    3.) I am being prompted to upgrade to Google Analytics 4 (GA4) property. Should I do that through Google Analytics, Rank Math, or is there no difference?

    Hello,

    We deeply apologize for the delay in response.

    I use the standard schema for Yoast, including on podcast pages.

    As you’re using Yoast’s default schema, they can be imported fine while migrating from Yoast to Rank Math.

    It would be a new URL per episode.

    You’ll need to add the audio URL to the schema manually as mentioned above.

    I see that Rank Math is suggesting short URLs for SEO.

    Does Rank Math have a feature that removes stop words from a generated slug?

    Sorry, but there’s no way to truncate generated slug with Rank Math. You can use any permalink manager plugin to see if that helps.

    If I deactivate Site Kit, will Rank Math add:

    Google Analytics 4 Code Snippet

    to the website?

    If you deactivate SiteKit and enable the Install Analytics Code option, Rank Math will add UA Code Snippet to your site since you’ve added UA property to Rank Math.

    I choose UA-3672791-1 for Rank Math:

    Yes, it’s fine as long as you’re getting data from that.

    I am being prompted to upgrade to Google Analytics 4 (GA4) property. Should I do that through Google Analytics, Rank Math, or is there no difference?

    It’s up to you whether you choose to use UA or GA4 for your site. However, it’s good to switch to GA4, since Universal Analytics is going away on July 1, 2023. Here’s a URL below for your reference:
