Hello Rank Math Team,
I am using the latest DIVI Theme and the Visual Builder and like your plugin to use in combination for SEO.
But I noticed on my latest website that using your Plugin takes the Divi Builder ages to load and cannot be used in the front end of the website.
In the Backend, it works fine.I also get the following error on the chrome console:
“divi builder DevTools failed to load source map: Could not parse content for https://digital-native.at/wp-content/themes/Divi/includes/builder/frontend-builder/build/bundle.modals.cf3a0085.js.map: Unexpected token ‘<‘, “<!DOCTYPE “… is not valid JSON”I tried to do some research before and found out that the Rank Math Plugin causes the error, if I deactivate it, it works fine. (PS: I tried to do rollbacks to the previous version, without any success).
Hopefully, you can help me fix this error because I prefer using Rank Math for SEO.
Cheers Joshy

Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.
For initial troubleshooting, please check your site’s configuration if there are some PHP values that are too low and which you should increase.
Please get in touch with your web host and ask them to set the following values:
PHP Memory Limit: 512M Max input time: 150 PHP time limit: 120 PHP max input variables: 1000If the issue still persists, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Hello,
Sadly changing the PHP-Settings did not resolve the issue.
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. I activated rankmath plugin now for you to check, in order for you to reproduce the error you have to navigate to the website in the front-end and use the “edit with visual builder” function form divi in the top bar.
Can you please check further?Thank you.
Additonal Info:
Issue can only be reproduced on home page, subsites performance is normal when activating the visual builder.
Hello
Thank you for providing additional information.
I tested out the homepage and it loaded quite fast, infact same as the other pages. Though, I see there’s few JS error which isn’t related to Rank Math. I would suggest contacting Divi and asking them to have a look once.
Hope this helps solve your issues. Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
Thank You
Hello,
It has nothing to do with the loading time of the website itself.
If you load the homepage, logged in as an administrator you get the option to use “Visual Builder” of Divi to edit the page. As you can see here
If you enable that feature with Rank Math plugin activated you will see the website gets terribly slow and lags throughout the editing process.
This is connected to the Rank Math plugin, because deactivating the plugin gets the visual builder work fine. Please check again.
Cheers
JoshyHello,
We deeply apologize for the delay in response.
I checked your site and tried to replicate the issue you’re encountering. Indeed it’s gettings a bit slow while Visual Builder is trying to load. But I found no issues or error related to Rank Math, mostly they are either related to your theme or Divi itself.
However, if you still feel it’s being caused by Rank Math, please try installing the plugin Query Monitor to your website, look for queries related to our plugin and share us a screenshot if you find any. This will help us to determine what’s exactly slowing down your website.
You can also get in touch with your hosting provider, ask for usage logs, and find out which specific requests are responsible for such situation.
Otherwise, you may get in touch with Divi to see if they can assist you with this one.
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Hello,
to be honest, it is related to Rank Math.
Because the error/issue does not appear when the plugin is deactivated.
Only when the plugin is activated the issue on the front end with the visual builder appears. So I am kind of in between something here.
When I contact Divi they tell me it was related to Rank Math because deactivating the plugin solves the issue.Without doing any further investigation all I can tell you now is that the error/issue is gone when deactivating Rank Math Plugin.
Regards
JoshyHello,
We can confirm that when the Rank Math plugin is active, the DIVI builder on your homepage is slow so we would like to further investigate this issue.
I have done initial troubleshooting and we can’t find any error or delayed query from Rank Math that may cause the slowdown.
However, even without Rank Math, we can still see the error you first mentioned so I suspect that after activating Rank Math, it adds a slowdown to your homepage’s extensive JavaScript processes.
I would like to confirm that by sharing this first with our developer. We should get back to you shortly with an update and provide you with their feedback.
We appreciate your time and patience in the meantime.
Hello,
Thank you so much for your patience.
After a couple of investigations with our developer, we noticed that even without Rank Math, the page takes around 4 seconds to load, however, we can confirm that when enabling Rank Math, editing Divi blocks tends to slow down or hangs up. However, we tried enabling only Divi theme and Rank Math plugin and the issue seems to go away.
This indicates that there may be another plugin that when paired with Rank Math, causes the Divi builder to slow down. After following this guide, we are able to pinpoint that plugin which is “Divi Supreme Pro”.
Can you please check this one with them and see if they are able to determine why it causes a slowdown in the main Divi builder? You should also notice that the majority of the console errors are coming from their plugin as well.
Looking forward to helping you.
Hi Jeremy,
okay, that’s interesting.
Yes, I’ll try contacting them directly and hope to find out what might cause the issue here.I’ll let you know once I got any more information.
Cheers
JoshyOne thing to add:
You’re correct after disabling both Divi Supreme plugins the editing via front-end visual builder works faster again.
Nevertheless when comparing the speed of the visual builder:Deactivating the RankMath Plugin gets the speed of the builder after the initial load time to normal speed
Deactivating the Divi Supreme Plugins gets the speed of the builder to still be a little stocky when scrolling through the page.My additional question here is after everything is set with rank math (meta descriptions, etc.) can the plugin be disabled and still not lose the settings of the pages?
In that case, I can just enable it when there is anything new I need to add on pages etc.
Does that work?Joshy
Hello,
Deactivating our plugin will disable basically everything and that includes the generation of meta on the frontend.
What you can do is disable Rank Math’s SEO control whenever you edit your homepage which you can find in Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Post Types: Pages > Add SEO Controls, or you can just ask the developers from Divi Supreme to address this.
Hope that helps.
Thank you.
Hello,
“What you can do is disable Rank Math’s SEO control whenever you edit your homepage which you can find in Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Post Types: Pages > Add SEO Controls, or you can just ask the developers from Divi Supreme to address this.”
After doing this exact same steps, the website builder on the frontend is fully functional and back to original speed. So I guess it has something to do with the RankMath Plugin integration in the Divi visual builder itself.
When I try to expand the Menu and divi to save there is also a Rank Math Button.
Is it possible to just remove the visual builder add-on integrated in rank math?Regards
JoshyHello,
Unfortunately, we don’t have a way to disable the integration between Rank Math and the core Divi builder.
Rank Math and Divi are 100% compatible with each other but other 3rd parties like Divi Supreme PRO is not yet well tested with our plugin hence, there are some slowdowns or other issues.
Hope that helps.
Thank you.
Okay thank you for your help on that case.
I for now could resolve the issue by doing the following:
“What you can do is disable Rank Math’s SEO control whenever you edit your homepage which you can find in Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Post Types: Pages > Add SEO Controls, or you can just ask the developers from Divi Supreme to address this.”
Whenever I need to add meta descriptions of new pages created etc.
I will enable this setting for a short period of time and will deactivate it again after it is finished.Thank you for being so helpful.
Cheers
