Rank Math not setting alt tag for thumbnail sizes

    Hi,

    I have the option enabled for Rank Math to automatically set alt tags to all images. However, it is not setting alt tags to the other image sizes, for example the product images on the product category pages(which are thumbnails) don’t have any alt tag. Why is Rank Math not adding the alt tag to ALL image sizes and how can I achieve this (without having to manually edit each image in the media library)?

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for the delay and for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

    Unfortunately, the Add missing ALT attributes and Add missing TITLE attributes options work only on posts/pages/CPTs/. These are not added to images added by your WordPress theme to various sections like your sliders, thumbnails, icons, etc.

    Also, those two options only work when you add images to your content via the WordPress editor.

    You can also get in touch with your theme developer on how to set the missing alt attributes to your thumbnail images in your product category pages.
