Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with Rank Math not receiving analytics data from Google Analytics (GA) and Google Search Console (GSC). Thank you for providing the details about your setup.
Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can follow:
-
Check Tracking Code: Ensure that the Google Analytics tracking code is correctly implemented on your website. You can verify this by checking for the measurement ID (G-XXXXXX) in the source code of your site. If you haven’t added the tracking code yet, you can enable the Install Analytics code option in Rank Math’s Analytics settings.

-
Verify Domain Name: Make sure that the domain name configured in your Google Analytics property matches your actual website domain. You can check this in Google Analytics under Admin → Property → Property Settings. Ensure that the Default URL is set to `https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-crontrol/.

-
Clear Cache: If you have any caching plugins enabled, clear your site’s cache to ensure that the latest changes are reflected.
-
Check CRON Issues: If your website relies on WP-CRON, ensure that it is enabled in your wp-config.php
file. You can also use the WP Crontrol plugin to check for any CRON errors that might be affecting data fetching.

-
Wait for Data: Sometimes, it may take a little while for data to start appearing in Rank Math after setting up the connections, especially if it’s a new property.
If you’ve gone through these steps and are still experiencing issues, please reply to this ticket with any error logs or additional details, and a human agent from our support team will assist you further.
Thank you for your patience!

Hello bot,
I performed all the requested steps:
1. Tracking code is functioning as expected.
2. There is no “Property Settings” under “Admin → Property”.
3. Done.
4. There’s a bunch of Rank Math pending actions with this name: “rank_math/analytics/get_console_data”.
5. I’ve waited for more than 24 hours.
I also started a manual analytics data fetch. It’s been running for a while and will end after 1 hour and 19 minutes from now.
Looking forward to your assistance.
Kind regards
Hello,
Thank you for your patience.
You’re using domain verification for your Search Console property.
Please note that our plugin doesn’t fully support fetching data from domain properties (sc:domain
).
You’ll have to connect via the URL-prefix property to fetch the data properly in Rank Math Analytics and Index Status.

You can follow our guide here to create the URL Prefix property:
https://rankmath.com/kb/google-site-verification/#num-1-1-open-google-search-console
The URL-prefix property also helps keep your sitemap in sync with Google Search Console as we submit it automatically for you. In addition, the domain property won’t work correctly on some sections of the Analytics module such as the IndexStatus.
Looking forward to helping you.
Hi Reinelle,
Thank you for your explanation. I see Rank Math has received data now, but I’ll still convert to the URL-prefix property when I get the chance to.
In the article you shared there’s also an automatic option. Does this automatic option also include all the benefits you mentioned with using the URL-prefix property? I’d like to get the most out of Rank Math so I don’t want to miss out on automatic sitemap submissions and the index status, but I also prefer to automate as much as possible 🙂
Looking forward to your reply.
Kind regards,
Frank
Hello,
You’ll have to create the property in your GSC account. The URL-prefix property includes all the benefits like automatic sitemap submission and full compatibility with the Index Status and Analytics modules.
