    Hi Rank Math Support Team,
    I hope you’re doing well.
I’m experiencing an issue where some pages on my website are not being properly detected or indexed by Rank Math. The plugin is showing messages like “Invalid identifier” and doesn’t reflect the correct indexing status.
However, when I check the same pages in Google Search Console, they are marked as:
Page availability: Page can be indexed

This confirms that Google is able to access and index them, but Rank Math seems to have trouble recognizing those pages correctly.

    What I’ve done so far:
Updated the pages manually via WordPress editor
Regenerated the sitemap via Rank Math
    Cleared the website cache
Added a short intro in the default WordPress editor (instead of using Elementor only)
Ran a full SEO analysis from the Rank Math dashboard

    Additional Note:
I had Instant Indexing enabled, but I’ve currently disabled it. Should I enable Instant Indexing again to resolve this issue? Or is there another recommended solution?

Looking forward to your guidance and support.

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with Rank Math not detecting the indexing status properly for some pages. Thank you for providing detailed information about the steps you’ve already taken.

The "Invalid identifier" message can sometimes occur due to various reasons, including caching issues or conflicts with other plugins. Here are a few suggestions that might help resolve the issue:

    1. Re-enable Instant Indexing: Since you mentioned that you had Instant Indexing enabled but have currently disabled it, we recommend re-enabling it. This feature can help ensure that your URLs are submitted to search engines promptly, which may assist in resolving indexing discrepancies.

      • To enable Instant Indexing, navigate to WordPress Dashboard → Rank Math SEO and enable the Instant Indexing module.

    2. Check for Plugin Conflicts: Sometimes, other plugins can interfere with Rank Math’s functionality. Try deactivating other plugins temporarily to see if that resolves the issue.

    3. Review Robots.txt and .htaccess Files: Ensure that your robots.txt file is not blocking any important pages and that your .htaccess file is configured correctly.

    4. Inspect Page Content: Make sure there are no issues with the content on the pages that are not being detected correctly. Check for duplicate content or any canonical tags that might be misconfigured.

    5. Clear Cache Again: After making changes, clear your website cache again to ensure that all updates are reflected properly.

If the problem persists after trying these steps, please reply to this ticket with your website URL so that we can investigate further. A human agent from our support team will take over and provide more specific assistance.

Thank you for your patience, and we look forward to helping you resolve this issue!

what do you mean by (Check for Plugin Conflict), what type of blugins?

I have followed all the recommended steps, but the issue still persists

    Hello,

That error means the URL was still not processed by the Indexing API from Google. It’s important to note that the requirements for that have changed and now the URLs go through rigorous spam detection.

Besides that, the guidelines now state that this is exclusive to a particular set of websites, so if your website doesn’t fall under that category or is considered spammy the submission will go through but the API will never parse the URLs.
