Rank Math not connecting to Google Search Console or Google Analytics

    Rank Math free

    Hello,

After many failed attempts; changing the browser to Chrome, checking videos, Rank Math articles etc., the plug-in will not seem to connect to Google Search Console or Analytics through the setup wizard or otherwise.

I’ve removed access to redo the wizard, left it for over an hour on some occasions and still nothing.

I really would like to setup this plug-in if someone can take a look for me.

I´m running Windows 10, Chrome Version 120.0.6099.71 (Official Build) (64-bit), allowing all cookies and trackers, that I know of and also with auto updates on Rank Math. It’s beyond me on what to do.

    Please help,

    Tiernan

    HI,

I’ve seen the Test Connections prompt on some articles but the button’s not in the Rank Math dashboard.

I’ve also tried the Reconnect button but to no avail.

How do I find the error log to share?

    Thanks.

    Hello,

    Apologies for the inconvenience.

Please verify using the URL prefix and ensure that you have verified the correct version of your website on the Google Search Console (HTTP or HTTPS, www or non-www). You can reconnect it on your WordPress dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Analytics.

In this case, please follow our guide here to create the URL Prefix property
    https://rankmath.com/kb/google-site-verification/#num-1-1-open-google-search-console

    prefix

The URL-prefix property also helps keep your sitemap in sync with Google Search Console as we submit it automatically for you. In addition, the domain property won’t work correctly on some sections of the Analytics module such as the IndexStatus.

Once done, you may try reconnecting your website to your Google account.

Let us know how this goes.

    Reinelle,

Thanks for the help , seriously! The website is showing in the site list twice now. I’m not sure if that’s a problem.

The other thing is, I want to connect Google Analytics also and I’m not sure if I can save those changes thus far or can you tell me how to connect Google Analytics as well to proceed?

    Best ragrads

    Hi,

The image seems to have uploaded.

There is still no data in the Rank Math Analytics Tab but Google Search Console has updated traffic for the site.

In Google Analytics, One account has the site name and the other has the site name followed by ‘GA4’. The one with ‘GA4’ is not passing the test for the installed tags which is the one showing in the Rank Math General Settings, Analytics Tab, WordPress. MonsterInsights plugin was used for the setup.

I hope this makes sense. Thanks!

Apologies. I felt this contained sensitive data.

    Error log added.

    Hello,

The multiple properties showing is not a problem. As for the Search Console, select the URL Prefix property. URL-prefix property usually contains the full URL including the protocol, i.e. https://, while domain properties usually start with sc-domain:. Select the URL-prefix property as Rank Math is not fully compatible with domain properties.

For Google Analytics, you can select any of the properties, just make sure to enable the “Install analytics code” option if you are not installing the Google Analytics code through other means.

We hope this helps clarify the issue. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us again. We are always happy to assist you.

    Hey guys,

    Happy New Year!

There still seems to be an issue.

Rank Math is still not giving any analytics; Impressions, Total Clicks, etc.

When connecting to Google Analytics, the process included the installation of the MonsterInsights plug-in. Now WordPress is telling me that having two active SEO plug-ins will affect ranking for the site.

Can you please give me some direction on this, as I’m getting concerned about the setup of the site?

    Huge thanks, Tiernan

Hello again and thanks for the patience!

All SEO plugins other than Rank Math have been deleted or deactivated and the message ‘Please keep only one SEO plugin active, otherwise you might lose your rankings and traffic.’ is still showing.

    Hope this helps.
