Could you confirm if you are referring to the FAQ Blocks? If so, are you using any page builder for your website? FAQ blocks can be inserted through the Gutenberg editor and classic editor. Please refer to this link:

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes I am using a page builder and am referring to FAQ Blocks.
When I switch to Gutenberg Editor and insert the FAQ blocks my formatting is gone after publishing (not in the preview).

The publishing of the added FAQ schema should normally show in the front end and be added to the schema.
Please note that the FAQ schema is currently only available in the block editor. We do have an option where you can add the FAQ to any editor using shortcode but this is only available in the Pro version.
