today I found this issue, I have descriptions of product brands and categories
I found that Rank Math is forcing the default meta description over the description I added to the archives https://www.yoppia.com/categories/toys-and-games/
Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.
Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.
If the issue persists, please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead: https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
This is the intended behavior of Rank Math. Please note that when you set any default category description, it is automatically added to all the categories until you edit the description from the category editor page and add some custom ones. We’ve edited your meta description and saved it with the description of that category page.
Now the description is also updated on the backend of this page:
Hope that helps to clarify your doubts and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.

Thank you.
From what I know that Rank Math uses the default Meta until I add a description then it fallback to the description I write. with no need to add a meta description to the Rank Math field on the archive page.
I also still have the same problem I mentioned in the previous ticket “Remove parent slugs” does not redirect old URLs to the new ones you said it is a glitch and will be fixed in the next update, but it is not yet fixed.
Maybe the two problems are related?
The login URL you’ve shared has expired. Thus, I was unable to check further.
However, that’s correct. The default/global description will be used until you add any custom description to your archive page. If you add any custom description for the specific archive page, that will be taken and the global/default one will be ignored.
For the issue with Remove Parent Slug, our developers are still working on that issue. Please keep an eye on our changelog: https://rankmath.com/changelog/free/ for any updates.
Hope that helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
