The author archives being part of the SEO of a website, we include options to control those settings, which we believe should be part of an SEO plugin.
If the settings don’t provide the necessary options that you require for your specific use case, you can try to modify this filter to apply a different base depending on the user role: https://rankmath.com/kb/filters-hooks-api-developer/#change-author-base
At the moment, there’s no option to just disable this functionality and use that other plugin.

I’m not a developer so I will not try to modify the filter.
It would be good if you could bring this issue to the technical and development team of Rank Math so they can add this feature in a future update of the plugin, as I think this is a relevant option to have, (or at least give the option to disable the current function). Thanks.
