Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing. To improve SEO for your custom table in WordPress using Rank Math, you can follow these general steps:
-
Schema Markup: Since you are not using custom post types, you can still implement Schema markup manually. You can add the necessary Schema types directly in your custom table’s output. Rank Math allows you to add custom Schema types through its metabox, but since you’re not using post types, you’ll need to integrate this into your code.
-
SEO Titles and Descriptions: You can programmatically set SEO titles and descriptions for your custom table entries. This can be done by hooking into WordPress actions or filters to modify the output of your custom table. Use the rank_math/frontend/seo_title
and rank_math/frontend/seo_description
filters to set these values dynamically based on your custom table data.
-
Sitemap Integration: Since you’ve already created a sitemap for your index and URL list, ensure that it is submitted to search engines. You can use the Rank Math settings to manage this.
-
Custom Fields: If your custom table has fields that you want Rank Math to analyze, you can define which fields will be analyzed with the main text for Rank Math’s SEO Score. This can be done by using the rank_math/fields
filter to include your custom fields in the analysis.
-
Content Optimization: Ensure that the content displayed from your custom table is optimized for SEO. This includes using relevant keywords, proper headings, and ensuring that the content is valuable to users.
-
Performance Optimization: Make sure that your custom table queries are optimized for performance, as site speed is a ranking factor.
-
Use of Hooks: Utilize WordPress hooks to integrate Rank Math features into your custom functionality. For example, you can use wp_head
to add meta tags or other SEO-related elements dynamically.

Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math support.
Rank Math can seamlessly optimize your custom post types (CPTs) for SEO. Here’s how you can enhance your setup:
1. Go to Rank Math > Titles & Meta in your WordPress dashboard.
– Find your custom post type and configure SEO settings and Schema for it.
2. Customize Meta Titles & Descriptions
– You can edit any custom post and scroll down to the Rank Math SEO meta box.
– You can also set a dynamic title and description using variables like %title% | %sitename%. Here are the variables available in Rank Math: https://rankmath.com/kb/variables-in-seo-title-description/
We hope this helps. Please let us know if you have further questions or concerns.
Thank you.
Hello,
Thank you for your response.
However, I am not using any post types. I have built my own movie module and use custom database tables.
I would like the admin to see the SEO score for each movie in the single movie view, so they can assess and improve it.
I understand that this requires coding, and I am ready to implement it.
Hello,
Sorry, but Rank Math may not be able to support that as it only supports standard post type and custom post type created using the WordPress function.
However, you can create a custom sitemap for that. Here’s a guide you can follow: https://rankmath.com/kb/custom-sitemaps/
Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any other questions.
Hello
Thank you! I have successfully developed the sitemap.
I appreciate your support.
Could you kindly consider my point as a suggestion? If it can be added to the roadmap, it would be greatly beneficial for me.
now you can closed this ticket.
Hello,
Thank you so much for sharing your suggestion.
As of now, there’s no immediate plan to add support for custom database tables for custom contents as this requires major changes in our plugin’s core code.
With that said, if this is something that can be done in the feature, we will surely let you know.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any other questions.
