  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Are you adding the content to your custom page template using Shortcodes?
Please note that Rank Math does not read shortcode content.

If you’re adding the content using shortcodes, could you please let us know which theme or plugin are you using to add those shortcodes?

We have added API access to the content analysis in the Rank Math plugin to make content from page builder plugins and themes readable by Rank Math.

You would need to contact the developer of the plugin/theme you use to integrate it with Rank Math. You can share this knowledge base article for their reference – https://rankmath.com/kb/content-analysis-api/

With that said, this will not affect your overall SEO performance as this issue only occurs on the backend.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

Yes i am using Shortcode to add the content. I am not using any plugin for that i have just created my homepage with simple php and html in Cpanel.
I am using the Newspaper theme and unfortunately have no access to its help center.
is there any other way to make rank math read my content on custom page template..?
Moreover, tell me can I rank on google for the keywords I have placed in Rank math for my custom page template. Your help is very much appreciated.

    Hello,

As my colleague explained in order for Rank Math to read the contents of your shortcode, you would need to apply our Content Analysis API.

As for your second question, yes, setting a focus keyword should help you rank those keywords on the SERP. If you already added the keyword from the output content of your shortcode, then that should work even the test doesn’t pass due to Rank Math wasn’t able to read the shortcode. All the Content Analysis tests are done through your site’s backend only.

Hope this helps you with your situation.
