Today, for the first time, the Rank Math FAQ Block won’t load. It returns an error message saying “This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed.”
Please advise what I can try.

The issue is related to the EditorsKit plugin. If you disable it, the FAQ block works fine. Please get in touch with the EditorsKit support and inform them about the issue. They might already have a solution for this.

I appreciate that someone is trying to help. But there is no progress yet despite giving access as requested. What is happening please? The problem still exists.

I have contacted Editors Kit support and await a reply.
However, here’s what I don’t understand:-
Editors Kit has been at release 1.40.6 for some time.
The problem shows up after recent Rank Math updates.
Looking at Editors Kit with RM 1.0.232 activated, the RM blocks show in Editors Kit.
Looking at Editors Kit in the 2 more recent RM updates, the RM blocks do not show in Editors Kit.Since Editors Kit hasn’t changed while Rank Math has, is this really an Editors Kit problem?

While EditorsKit hasn’t changed, the recent updates to Rank Math introduced compatibility changes that affect how our blocks interact with third-party plugins like EditorsKit as we aim to ensure our blocks are compatible with the core block editor.
We recommend continuing to follow up with EditorsKit support, as they may need to address this compatibility issue in a future release.
With that said, we also have shared this with our development team to know their take on this.

We recently migrated the Blocks code to
blocks.json
which is recommended and needed in WP v6.7 + and this could be the origin of this conflict;
https://developer.wordpress.org/block-editor/reference-guides/block-api/block-metadata/#benefits-of-using-the-metadata-fileThe reason this issue happens is, the block javascript from the FAQ block doesn’t execute because of the errors from the EditorsKit plugin.
There are also other errors from the EditorsKit plugin, that happen before the FAQ Block’s ( see image below ),
and we think that the EditorsKit plugin team, should update the plugin, to work well with the recent API improvements in WordPress Core.Let’s wait for a response from your recently EditorsKit submitted query and see what information we can work with after that.
