    Hello,

I will raise a separate ticket for this. I am noticing that Rank Math is automatically changing our website’s information from “Small Business website” to “personal blog“. This has already happened twice only today and apparently it happens, when I publish a new blog post. This change can be seen in the Setup Wizard.

I have added login details to the sensitive information area.

  • Hello Brian. I don’t think it is the post that keeps changing the information but instead this thing seems to be changing randomly after some time has passed.

I have updated the login details to the sensitive area.

Hello. It doesn’t seem to have anything to do with making a new post, but the information indeed is changing randomly from small business to personal blog. I have updated the sensitive data. With these login details, you should be able to login.

And a reminder: if you enable debug mode, would you please do it so that it is not publicly visible, because this breaks the website layout.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your reply.

We are still monitoring your website for any changes, And we haven’t enabled the debug mode yet. Will keep you posted here.

Thank you and please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need further assistance.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello Ankit,

Thank you for the update. Hopefully this can be solved as soon as possible.

I am also still a bit worried about the business details missing from the page source code (check the screenshot). I was told by a Google employee that this could be a spam signal for Google, which can of course lower your rankings.

Okay, I seem to have found at least one thing that triggers RankMath to change the website information and this is when I optimize the database with WP Rocket (WP Rocket Settings -> Database -> Save changes and optimize). This immediately changes the information to personal blog.

    Hello

Thank you for getting back to us.

Upon checking your post the setting was still intact to a small business site. I have not noticed any change since I switched it.

Regarding the business details, I can already see them present in the homepage page source under the Rank Math schema section. Please see screenshot: https://i.rankmath.com/499VF5

Could you be having any specific details which you have noticed to be missing so that we can re-check that for you?

We are looking forward to helping you.
    Thank you.

Hello. The information is on “Small business website” because I have manually changed it back to that. The last time was about half an hour ago after cleaning the database the last time.

You can check the missing information by viewing the page source and searching @type. There are 15 @ type sections out of which the last is missing the correct business name (which is ACME) and the address field only shows ” “. You can see this also on the screenshot in the sensitive data area.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I am glad you found that. So we should consider this particular problem as resolved?

You can check the missing information by viewing the page source and searching @type. You can see this also on the screenshot in the sensitive data area.

I want you to know that the schema you are referring to is a manual code not the Rank Math generated code.

You can see the same by heading over to WP Dashboard > Settings > Insert Headers & Footers

You can disable that code for your Local SEO and use the Rank Math’s?

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

Hello. The problem really isn’t solved as there seems to be an compatibility problem with these two plugins. And I am not sure, whether for example clearing and preloading the cache will also cause this same thing to happen.

The second part is really helpful, thank you for that. I will disable that part from the dashboard.

Update: clearing and preloading the WP Rocket’s cache does not seem to trigger this thing.

    Hello,

Thanks for getting back to us.

This information relative to the type of website in the Setup Wizard is saved in a field called _transient_rank_math_site_type in the wp_options database table.

If you remove that field with a database cleanup all the functionality of the plugin will remain the same but the Setup Wizard field for this will be reset to default.

This doesn’t have any implication on the actual settings of your website and just happens in the Setup Wizard.

Hope this helps clarify your doubts.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

Hello Miguel. Thank you for this information, it’s quite relieving as it will remove quite worry from my mind.

So basically this will not change any information in the source code of the website even if it changes to personal blog in the setup?

    Hello,

Thanks for getting back to us.

No, this won’t change any information on any other parts of your website.

This is just used during the Setup Wizard and after that is saved in a transient field, however, if you delete that transient field, which the database cleanup plugins usually do, it goes back to the default values but only in the Setup Wizard and not anywhere else.

If you have any other questions don’t hesitate to get in touch. We are here to help!

Thank you for confirming. I will mark this thread solved.
