Hello,
I’m sorry to hear about the issue you are facing with random redirections on your website even when there are no redirects configured. To troubleshoot this problem, you can follow these steps:
-
Check for Redirections Created with Rank Math:
- Sometimes, multiple URLs might be configured to redirect to a destination URL within Rank Math. Check all the redirections you’ve created and verify if any have issues. Make sure to fix any problematic redirects.
- You can open the recently created redirections inside Rank Math and review their settings to ensure there are no misconfigurations.
-
Check .htaccess File:
- Navigate to WordPress Dashboard → Rank Math SEO → General Settings → Edit .htaccess to check for any additional redirection rules in the .htaccess file. Delete any unnecessary rules that might be causing the issue.
-
Check for Other Redirection Plugins Installed:
- Verify if you have any other redirect plugins installed that might be causing unexpected redirects. If found, delete them immediately and check if the issue persists.
-
Perform a Theme or Plugin Conflict Check:
- Conflicts between plugins or themes can sometimes lead to unwanted redirects. Perform a conflict check by disabling Rank Math and other plugins one by one to identify the root cause of the issue.
If after following these steps the issue persists, please feel free to reply to this ticket, and a human agent from our support team will assist you further.

Hello,
This usually happens when the Redirect Attachments option is enabled on your site, and you have a media or attachment URL with the same slug.
You can temporarily disable that option in Rank Math > General Settings > Links and check again if it’s getting redirected.
If that is the case, you can re-upload the media with a different file name (/what-is-hedging/) or at least rename the attachment URL to a different slug.
Let us know how this goes.
