    Rank Math free

    Hi there,

I have two questions as follows:

    1) I have enable auto updates in my website but Rank Math SEO Analyzer said auto updates are not enable, why is that?

    2) If I connect second website to my Rank Math account, will the second website also get 750 Content AI credit?

    Please advise.

    Thanks,
    Melissa

  • Hello Melissa,

Thank you for reaching out with your questions. I’ll address each of your queries:

    1) Regarding the auto updates not being recognized by the Rank Math SEO Analyzer, this could be due to a temporary synchronization issue. To resolve this, please disconnect and reconnect your Rank Math account in your WordPress admin area by following these steps:

    • Go to your WordPress admin area > Rank Math > Dashboard > Help
    • Click on "Disconnect" and then "Reconnect" your Rank Math account as shown in the screenshots below:
      Disconnect Account
      Reconnect Account

After reconnecting, refresh the SEO Analyzer, and it should recognize the auto updates setting correctly.

    2) When you connect a second website to your Rank Math account, the Content AI credits are not shared between websites. Each website connected to your Rank Math account will have its own set of Content AI credits based on your subscription level.

If you need further assistance or have any more questions, please feel free to let us know. We’re here to help!

    Thank you.

    1) To be exact the message is: “Site wide plugins auto-update option is disabled on your site.
Basic SEO”. However, the auto update option is on when I check over the Auto Update option under WordPress Security.

    2) I’m referring to what is mentioned in this article https://rankmath.com/kb/content-ai-free/?_gl=1*lak21h*_ga*MTQyMDczNDk0OC4xNzE3MDk1OTI5*_ga_WTF2SQ5LGQ*MTcxNzE4MzAyMy43LjEuMTcxNzE4NDI0Ni42MC4wLjA.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that this issue might have caused.

If I connect second website to my Rank Math account, will the second website also get 750 Content AI credit?

The 750 credit units are given per account and not per website. So if multiple sites are connected to your Rank Math account, they will all pool from the 750 Content Credit units.

I have enable auto updates in my website but Rank Math SEO Analyzer said auto updates are not enable, why is that?

Please reconnect your Rank Math plugin to your Rank Math account. To do that, navigate to your WordPress admin area > Rank Math > Dashboard > Help, disconnect and reconnect your Rank Math account.

    disconnect
    connect

Then, head over to your WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Status & Tools > Database Tools > and click on the button “Remove Transients”. See the screenshot below for your reference:

Lastly, see if the plugin’s automatic update is enabled. You can check that in Rank Math > Status & Tools > Version Control > Auto Update.

If the issue persists, please confirm that the cron job is working correctly on your site. Automatic updates require a cron job to run on their set schedule therefore there needs to be a cron job working on your website.

Let us know how this goes. Also, let us know if you have further questions or concerns.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

I followed your instructions to disconnect and reconnect the Rank Math plugin and confirmed that the cron job is working on my website. However, I am still experiencing the same issue.

I checked with my hosting company, and they do not see a “Site Wide” plugin under wp-content -> plugins. Could you please clarify what this plugin refers to?

    Thanks,
    Melissa

    Hello,

That message indicates that there is either a plugin, a WordPress management tool, or a custom code disabling the site-wide plugin’s automatic updates.

You would need to check either of those 3 options to look what’s taking ownership of the auto-updates and triggering this error in the SEO Analyzer.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

Hello, I’m not a tech person, how do I find out? Can you please provide me with some guidance. Thanks!

    Hello,

You may need to disable your plugins one by one and check the test each time to determine the culprit of this issue.

Alternatively, you can create a staging site with the same issue and perform the test so it won’t affect your live site.

Here is a guide that could be really useful for you on how to create a staging site: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-create-staging-environment-for-a-wordpress-site/

    Looking forward to helping you.
