    Whenever I click publish I get:
    Publishing failed. The response is not a valid JSON response.

    When I edit meta I get:
    Updating failed. The response is not a valid JSON response.

    The reason upon investigation I saw was:
    https://<site>.com/wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta?_locale=user was returning 404 from litespeed serve

    It was not just that, but all wp-json/v2 API calls like
    https://<site>/wp-json/wp/v2/taxonomies/post_tag?context=edit&_locale=user

    I’m on cyber panel with LiteSpeed server.
    Using the Gutenberg editor, WordPress 5.4.2

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    We have seen in other users that issue and usually, they are caused when something is blocking access to the WordPress API REST.

    Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

    To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

    Please let us know if you find the culprit.

    If you try it and you still have the issue even with just Rank Math enabled and using the default theme, I would recommend contacting your hosting support, to check if something is blocking the WordPress API REST.
