  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with your products not ranking properly in Google search results. It seems that while your homepage title is being displayed correctly, Google is opting to show the product meta descriptions instead of the titles you have set for those products.

There are several reasons why Google might choose to display a different title or description for your pages:

    1. Descriptive Title: Ensure that each product has a unique and descriptive title tag. If multiple products share similar titles, Google may choose to display the product description instead.
    2. Keyword Stuffing: Avoid stuffing keywords in your titles or descriptions, as this can make them less useful for searchers.
    3. Length of Titles: Make sure your titles are not too long or hard to read, as this can lead Google to rewrite them.
    4. Crawling Issues: Check if there are any issues with crawling your pages, such as restrictions in your robots.txt file.
    5. Alternative Text: Google may find alternative text on your page more relevant and useful than the title you provided.

You can refer to our guide on why Google might show a different meta title/description for more insights.

To improve your product rankings, consider reviewing and optimizing your product titles and descriptions based on the points mentioned above. Hello,

We checked your website with the site: operator, and we can see Google is showing the correct meta title and description on SERPs:

    null

It means Google is already aware of the correct metadata of your website. Nowadays, Google does that very commonly. Even when everything is fine, Google may choose to display a different meta description or no description for your search query result. Google may skip the custom metadata you have set and instead display something from the page’s content that better matches the search intent.

Regarding the product ranking, please note that ranking on Google depends on so much more than just your on-page optimization. You could have the perfect article and still struggle to break the top 10 in SERPs. Here are some of the factors Google considers when ranking you:

    1. Your website’s authority
    2. Your content’s quality and how better it is than the other article currently ranking.
    3. How competitive the keyword is.
    4. How many backlinks you have and if they are better than what the other guys ranking for that keyword have.
    5. Your website’s crawlability.
    6. Frequency of new content and content updates.
    7. So much more that there is a dedicated blog post on it by Brian Dean 🙂 https://backlinko.com/google-ranking-factors

We would recommend that you keep at it and work on acquiring more links to break into the top SERPs. Here are a few resources we think you will find useful while devising an SEO strategy.
