Product schema problems

    Hi there! I’m trying to create a schema for getting review stars in google:
    what I want

    The page in the above screenshot uses the product schema, with these defined parameters:

    @type
    name
    description
    image
    @type
    url
    width
    height
    review
    @type
    name
    reviewBody
    datePublished
    dateModified
    author
    @type
    name
    reviewRating
    @type
    ratingValue
    bestRating
    worstRating
    publisher
    @type
    name
    logo
    @type
    width
    height

    However, with rankmath, I always get the “offers” schema generated and then I basically have to enter a price and availability. This is of course nonsense for a review of a product. Is it possible to disable the injecting of “offers” data?

    This is what I get with rankmath on structured data testing tool:
    what I get

    This is what my competitor gets, and what I want:
    what I want

  • Hello,

    Thank you for getting in touch with us.

    The offers schema is automatically generated when you add the price to your products.

    For product schema to come up without errors, either review or aggregateRating or offers markup need to be defined: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/data-types/product/#product

    If you check the competitor URL you shared, they have added the review markup and the aggregateRating & offers come up as warnings. If all the three are missing, this will show up as an error.

    If you are using WooCommerce on your site, Rank Math takes the schema data from your product pages automatically and turns it into Schema-ready content. Likewise, the aggregateRating and review fields are taken from your actual product reviews that your buyers/customers leave on your products.

    Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
