  • Hello,

Thank you for reaching out with your query about customizing the header tag for the Product Schema Headline in Rank Math.

To change the header tag for the Product Schema Headline, you can follow these steps:

    1. Edit your WooCommerce product.
    2. Navigate to the Schema Settings for this product by clicking on the Schema tab and then clicking on Schema Generator.
    3. Open Rank Math’s Schema Builder.
    4. Choose the Schema for your product, and then click on Save for this Post.
    5. To customize your Schema further, click on the Custom Schema Tab and create a new one.

Unfortunately, Rank Math does not provide an option to directly customize the header tag (H5 to H2) for the Product Schema Headline within the plugin settings. However, you can manually adjust the header tag in the content editor where you input the Product Schema Headline.

If you encounter any difficulties or have further questions, please feel free to ask for assistance by assigning this ticket to a human agent using the available buttons.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your patience.

Please note that the shortcode output can only be modified by making changes to the plugin files.

You will have to edit this file:

    wp-content\plugins\seo-by-rank-math\includes\modules\schema\class-snippet-shortcode.php

Then change the H5 tag on line 299 to change the heading tag of the Schema output.

    Hope that helps.

If I update the plugin then will it have to change again?

    Hello,

Unfortunately, yes, you may need to update the file if you’re going to update the plugin.

We offer these shortcodes for people who don’t want to write everything twice, so they write the content in the Schema, and then the shortcode outputs everything on the page in an unformatted way that people can tackle with CSS.

But if you want it to be user-friendly, you may use your page builder to add the data on the front end and skip or delete the shortcode/reviewlocation part

Instead of adding the information using the shortcode, you can simply structure it as a normal article (using text widgets, headings, etc)

    Hope that helps.
