If they are getting blocked by a firewall, you may need to whitelist their IP by following this guide:

We checked your website and even though the Rank Math REST Routes are been blocked by your Wordfence firewall, they are not getting triggered on your Live traffic and that’s why we were not able to whitelist them on your firewall.
In this case, we suggest you get in touch with Wordfence support directly and ask them to whitelist the following Routes:
/wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta
/wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateSchemas
/wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateRedirection
