Problem with WPEngine

Hei RankMath Team,
we´re using the Rankmath Plugin on a WPEngine hosted site.
The support-team reached out to us with the following Problem.

Hi team,
Darragh here from the support team. We’re reaching out because we’ve been alerted by our production engineers that a plugin seo-by-rank-math is heavily utilising apache by making a large amount of admin ajax requests.

We have narrowed this down to a query within the above plugin causing this.

To prevent other customers from being affected on the server, we have taken preemptive action to disable this plugin.
We have actually seen a number of sites with the same issue today so it does seem like something may be faulty within the plugin. As such we would recommend reaching out to the plugin developer in this instance to determine the cause before reactivating the plugin as this would cause downtime to a lot of sites on the server.
