Problem with sitemap generation

    We apologize for the issues you are facing with sitemap generation in Rank Math while using WPML. It seems that there might be a few factors contributing to the problem of only 22 products being included in your sitemap and the 404 errors for many links.

    Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

    1. Flush Permalinks: Sometimes, flushing permalinks can resolve sitemap issues. You can do this by going to your WordPress admin area, navigating to Settings → Permalinks, and clicking the “Save Changes” button without making any changes. This action can refresh your permalink structure.

    2. Check Sitemap Settings: Ensure that all your product post types are set to be included in the sitemap. You can check this by going to Rank Math SEO → Sitemap Settings and verifying that the option for products is enabled.

    3. Check for Plugin Conflicts: Since you are using WPML, there might be a conflict with other plugins. We recommend using the Health Check plugin to identify any potential conflicts.

    4. Custom Canonicals: If you have set custom canonical URLs for your products, they may not appear in the sitemap. Consider removing custom canonicals to allow Rank Math to generate them automatically.

    5. 404 Errors: For the 404 errors, ensure that the products are published and not set to draft or private. Also, check if there are any rules in your robots.txt file that might be blocking access to these URLs.

    Just to add, this issue occurred when we made changes to domains for various languages i.e. .it for italian, .hk for hong kong…

    For troubleshooting, please follow these steps to flush your sitemap cache:

    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:

    3. Disable the transient cache for the sitemap by applying this filter. This will make sure that your XML sitemap always reflects the latest changes on your site:

     */

    I tried following each of these steps but unfortunately it still didn’t work.
    Is there anything else I can try?

    Another issue is even if we change the number of sitemap urls in the settings it always generates only 100.

    Please ensure that your Rank Math plugins and WPML are already updated to the latest version.

    If the issue still persists, please install and activate the WPML SEO glue plugin that helps WPML and Rank Math integration (if not yet).
