    Hi,
I have found problem with sitemap, but I don’t know how to solve it.
First problem is that sitemap isn’t showing like a table, but just like xml tree.
Second problem is that sitemap have uncorrect pages inside.
Google Console checked sitemap and found 36000 pages, but we have only 100 pages on website.
How to fast index all pages? Because console found pages that have noindex tag, but it isn’t true.

    Thank you so much!
    Tomas

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issues you are facing with your sitemap. Thank you for raising your concerns.

    1. Sitemap Displaying as XML Tree: The sitemap is designed to be in XML format, which is standard for sitemaps. It may not display as a table in a browser, but it should be accessible to search engines. You can validate your sitemap using the Validate XML Sitemap tool to ensure it is correctly configured.

    2. Incorrect Pages in Sitemap: If your sitemap is showing more pages than you have on your website, it could be due to several reasons:

      • Ensure that all your posts are set to index. You can check this by going to Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta and ensuring the Index checkbox is enabled for your posts.
      • Check for any custom canonical URLs that might be affecting the sitemap. If you have custom canonicals set, they may not appear in the sitemap, leading to discrepancies.
      • You can also check for any plugin conflicts that might be affecting the sitemap generation. Using the Health Check plugin can help identify such issues.
    3. Fast Indexing of Pages: To help Google index your pages faster, ensure that your sitemap is submitted correctly in Google Search Console. You can submit your sitemap index URL, which is typically https://yourdomainname.com/sitemap_index.xml. This allows Google to crawl all your pages efficiently.

If you continue to experience issues, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.

We hope this helps resolve your sitemap issues!
