Hello,
Thanks for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Please make sure that you add a featured image to your posts/pages or a fallback OpenGraph thumbnail under WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Global Meta:
Hope this helps solve your issues. Let us know if the issue persists even after that.
We really look forward to helping you.
Ok… but if I upload a “featured” image, it will show that image by default (which is better than nothing!), but it won’t show the image I specifically “featured” with my article, right?
If this is correct, do you know how to fix the problem and make the shared image the one linked to my post?
Thanks
Hello,
If the featured image is specified, then that is used as the og:image
.
However, if you wish to use another image, then you can select that from the social tab of the SEO meta box: https://rankmath.com/kb/meta-box-social-tab/
The image selected in the social tab has higher precedence over the featured image and the global OpenGraph Thumbnail.
Hope this helps.
Thank you.
