Problem with OG:image

    My theme makes use of the Featured Image on an “Artist” page, and Rank Math will automatically use the Featured Image for OG:Image.

    The problem is, the image that is used for this theme needs to have pixel dimensions that absolutely do NOT work for an OG:Image.

    Unfortunately, Rank Math does NOT allow me to select an alternate image for the OG tag – if a Featured Image is already chosen on the post (and in my case, it MUST be), the ability to select an alternate OG image for the OG tag is disabled (at least, from what I can see, clicking “Add Image” in the Social tab does not work in any browser).

    Is there something I’m missing?

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting the support.

    The plugin does allow you to add a custom OpenGraph image of your custom dimension.

    For that, you need to add a social image. Here’s a screenshot that should help:

    Unfortunately, this is not helping me at all. I see nothing like what you’re showing me. On the “Social” tab in a post, there is an “Add Image” button. Pressing it does nothing. It should open to the Media Library to access images, but nothing happens. So I am stuck with the Featured Image as the default OG Image.

    I’ll followup this with a username and password you can use to see what I’m talking about (I’ll use “sensitive data” so this is hidden from public view). Thank you!

    Ugh, it’s a plugin conflict. Unfortunately, the plugin that enables the exact content for which I would like to control the OG Image is actually the conflict (Soundrise Music), so I’m screwed. Too bad, I liked this plugin!
