  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with adding Google Search Console and Analytics to your website. It can be frustrating when things don’t work as expected.

To troubleshoot the problem, here are a few steps you can follow:

    1. Verify Site URL: Ensure that you have added the correct site URL to Google Search Console. If you haven’t done this yet, you can refer to our guide on adding a URL property to the Search Console.

    2. Add Sitemap: After verifying your site, make sure to add your sitemap in Google Search Console. Navigate to Indexing → Sitemaps in the Search Console and paste your sitemap URL in the Add a new sitemap field, then click SUBMIT. Ensure there are no spaces in the sitemap URL.
Add the sitemap to Google Search Console

    3. Check Index Status: You can also monitor your site’s indexation status using Rank Math’s Analytics. Go to Rank Math SEO → Analytics in your WordPress dashboard and click on the Index Status tab to see if there are any issues with your pages.

    4. Wait for Google: Sometimes, it may take a while for Google to fetch your site and display it in the Search Console. If you’ve followed all the steps correctly, it might just be a matter of time.

If you continue to experience issues after trying these steps, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further. Thank you for raising this concern, and we’re here to help!

I have given rankmath permission to access my google account and validating the permissions, in the “search console” there are no results for my site: https://thewisepick.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=rank-math-wizard&step=analytics&rankmath_security=2be480726c
Can you help me please ?

site can’t be verified. it says “ownership verification failed.” my site is https://thewisepick.com/

    Hello,

Please verify using the URL prefix and ensure that you have verified the correct version of your website on the Google Search Console (HTTP or HTTPS, www or non-www).

    Prefix

You can follow our guide here to create the URL Prefix property:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/google-site-verification/#num-1-1-open-google-search-console

The URL-prefix property also helps keep your sitemap in sync with Google Search Console as we submit it automatically for you. In addition, the domain property won’t work correctly on some sections of the Analytics module such as the IndexStatus.

Regarding the Analytics drop-down, could you please confirm if you have already created a GA4 property for your website?

If not yet, please visit this page (https://analytics.google.com/analytics/web/) and sign up for a Google Analytics account and property, then reconnect your Google Account so the new Analytics account will reflect in that section.

    Looking forward to helping you.

Thank you. I followed your step and created google analytics account and property. my data collection is active; however, it is still not active in my WordPress dashboard. do i have to wait 24 or 48 hours? thank you

    Hello,

If you already have the data in your Google Search Console, the data should be available upon fetching.

Could you please share an image from your Analytics dashboard and your organic traffic data from Google Search Console for the last 30 or 15 days so we can compare it with the data coming through in the Analytics module?

You can upload screenshots using this tool and add the link here.

Meanwhile, please note that the statistics shown in Rank Math’s Analytics section would not fully match the Google Search Console and Analytics because of the situation mentioned here:

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hello,

Please confirm you have a verified Google Search Console and Google Analytics property on the Google account you connected. Please double-check that the Google account you connected has a functional Google Search Console and Google Analytics property. If you do not have a Google Search Console property, you can create one by following this guide. You can also sign up for Google Analytics here.

Looking forward to helping you resolve this issue.

Hi I did verify my account and have google analytics. I just don’t have the property in my wordpress. Hello,

If you already have verified properties and you’re still unable to connect them – then follow these steps

    2) Re-connect to regenerate the auth token from Google

After that, reconnect the Google account again to regenerate the auth token from Google, by going to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Analytics and configure the Search Console and Analytics settings again:

    reconnect

    3) Grant all necessary permissions

Kindly check all necessary checkboxes to allow Rank Math to access some of the Google Services. Please check the screenshot below for reference:

    permissions

    4) Follow the instructions to sign in with your Google account and allow Rank Math to access your data. https://rankmath.com/kb/connect-your-google-account/
