Hello,
Somehow when I want to activate the Rank Math Plugin, I’m redirected to my wp-admin page. So, my very basic question: how to activate the plugin? Is there a setting a need to switch on I’m not aware of? Or are there some other basics I need to keep in mind?
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Joeri

Hello,
Thanks for the quick respone. I’m using the latest version of Rank Math (1.0.70).
And I’m new at this, so I’m afraid that I’m not sure where to find my error logs. Is the link underneath helpful?
DevTools failed to load source map: Could not load content for https://c0.wp.com/p/jetpack/10.0/css/dashboard-widget.css.map: HTTP error: status code 403, net::ERR_HTTP_RESPONSE_CODE_FAILURE
In addition: I ran a PHP compatible scan. The result gives a warning for the Rank Math plugin, see beneath:

Hello,
Please ensure that all systems are up to date, including your WordPress and PHP version (you may ask your hosting provider if you are not sure about this). You may check our plugin requirements here to ensure that Rank Math works properly: https://rankmath.com/kb/requirements/
If the issue persists, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.
Thanks for your reply, I checked that all my systems are up to date (WordPress version 5.8 and PHP version 7.4).
I’ll add the requested logins so you can take a closer look.
Hello,
Could you please get in touch with your hosting (One.com) and ask them if they are experiencing this sort of issue recently?
It seems that they are hooking into various parts of the WordPress installation and we would just like to get clarification if Rank Math is still in the list of supported plugins by them.
Looking forward to hearing back from you.
Hello,
I followed your suggestion and contacted one.com. They assured me that Rank Math SEO is not on the list of discouraged plugins. I asked them if they could do anything else to solve this problem, but they referred me back to you for follow up help.
What are possible next steps?
Hello,
To activate Rank Math we needed to temporarily disable the
install.phpfile inside the content folder. After activating the plugin we re-enabled the file and you should now run through the Setup Wizard on your installation to configuring Rank Math completely.
You can access the Setup Wizard by going to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Dashboard.
Hope this helps solve your issues.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
Hello,
Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.
