    Rank Math free

    Good morning,

On our WordPress site, your plugin is changing the title that appears in the browser’s address bar. I am unable to determine which function is causing this issue. Could I get some information on this matter?

    Thank you.

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the title in the browser’s address bar. This can sometimes happen due to various settings or conflicts with other plugins or themes.

To troubleshoot this issue, we recommend checking the following:

    1. Site Title Settings: Ensure that your site title is correctly set in the WordPress Dashboard under Settings → General. The Site Title should reflect what you want to appear in the browser’s address bar.

    2. Homepage Title Tag: If you are using a static homepage, make sure that the page title is set correctly. You can do this by navigating to Pages, editing your homepage, and ensuring the title reflects your desired text.

    3. SEO Plugin Settings: Check the settings in Rank Math to see if there are any configurations that might be overriding your titles. You can find these settings under Rank Math → Titles & Meta.

    4. Plugin Conflicts: Sometimes, other plugins can conflict with Rank Math. You can check for conflicts by enabling Troubleshooting Mode and activating plugins one by one to see if the issue persists. For more details on how to do this, please refer to our guide on confirming a theme/plugin conflict with Rank Math.

If after checking these settings the issue still persists, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from our support team will assist you further.

Thank you for raising this concern, and we hope this helps!

The issue only occurs with your plugin and does not conflict with any other plugins. When all plugins are disabled and I activate yours, the page title changes.

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting support.

That is the plugin’s default behavior. An SEO plugin handles the metadata such as the meta title which is responsible for the browser title.

You can see how you can change the data from those meta entries here: https://rankmath.com/kb/seo-meta-tags/

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.

    Thank you.
