Hello,
Thanks for getting in touch with us.
If you are using a particular post type for adding demo content, you can make it noindex from WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > CPT.
If you wish to prevent Google from indexing pages that contain the word demo
, you can add this text to your robots.txt file at WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Edit Robots.txt
User-Agent: *
Disallow: /*demo*
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
I updated the image link with what the Portfolio looks like. 104 images that the page that I do want indexed is pulling from.
To try and clarify. Google is crawling the Portfolio, which is NOT a page; it’s a plugin. So are you saying I have to go thru 104 pages and set noindex?
Hello,
No, since “Portfolio” is a custom post type (like in my case one called “Custom”), you can set all of them as no-index like I show you in the following screencast: https://i.rankmath.com/LLuTYQ
Looking forward to help you.
Thanks Alberto!
Seems like in today’s SEO world one needs to be a data scientist just to please Google.
Hello,
LOL. Not really but it is always important to learn the technical aspects of how indexing works.
If you don’t mind me asking, could you please leave us a review (if you haven’t already) on https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/seo-by-rank-math/reviews/#new-post about your overall experience with Rank Math? We appreciate your time and patience.
If you do have another question in the future, please feel free to create a new forum topic, and it will be our pleasure to assist you again.
Thank you.
