    Rank Math free

Hello! I have Rank Math free and I want to know something about the Pro version. I want to add a custom watermark to the bottom center of the screen for facebook posts, but I need to know if there is a specific size for the post thumbnail in order to work. Because if there is, I have to make hundreds of custom thumbnail icons for my posts to be fixed.

    Thank you!

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention.

The image resolution we recommend for the thumbnail/social image is as close as 1200 x 630 pixels as per Opengraph Standards:
    https://developers.facebook.com/docs/sharing/webmasters/#images

Also, please ensure that the image file format you are uploading is only between jpeg, gif, or png.

Here’s a link for more information:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/titles-and-meta/#open-graph-thumbnail

    I hope that helps.

    Thank you.

Ok! I understand. But I have many images that they are not 1200×630, it will show the overlay icon in the same place or it will change the position because of the different size of the post image?

    Thank you!

    Hello,

Once you added an overlay icon for example, in the bottom right of the image, it will stay in the middle area of the image no matter the size of the image. Same as the rest of the positions. The icon will also not overlap with the images.

Kindly refer to our detailed guide here: https://rankmath.com/kb/watermark-for-social-sharing/

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

Thank you for your answer! But I saw into my friend’s Rank Math Pro and he has this issue. It doesn’t work properly in the bottom center of the image (various image sizes). That’s why I am concerned and ask you before I buy. Into your guide in the bottom right, it seems to be working but on his website, it doesn’t.

    Hello,

The watermark functionality may position the image overlay differently depending on the size of the image and the overlay.

Ideally, all images and the overlay would have the same size to prevent this from happening, but if you can’t do that for your images it will likely be some images where this issue will happen and the only way to get around it is by setting the correct image size.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
