We detect and evaluate the power words based on the language of the WordPress installation. Could you please confirm if you have the language of WordPress in the backend to be Swedish at the moment?
Please note that our plugin will try to detect Power Words in the same language as the WordPress backend and since it’s detecting the Swedish variation, it’s likely that you have the language set to that.

Yes I have my backend in WordPress set to Swedish, the RankMath are not in Swedish though, but I don’t think RankMath comes in a Swedish version right?

I checked and the word you’ve mentioned is not present in our Swedish power words list. You can find the entire list under wp-content/plugins/seo-by-rank-math/assets/vendor/powerwords/sv.php
Please try using any of the words present in the list and see if it gets detected.
If you wish to add additional power words, you can use this filter: https://rankmath.com/kb/filters-hooks-api-developer/#add-custom-power-words

No my power words where not in the Swedish list, that list don’t even have the Swedish word for free so lacking a lot. I have created a rank-math.php file in wp-content/themes/astra. I have put this code in that file;

*/
add_filter( ‘rank_math/metabox/power_words’, function( $words ){
$new_words = [
‘tryggt’,
‘experter’,
‘gratis’,

return array_merge( $words, $new_words );
});
And that code is now showing up above my header in plain text. Can’t find a way to send you a screen shot
