I have 84 posts that have not been added to my site map. I received the message from the bot and all are indexable, the caches have been cleared, etc… I don’t understand the one about custom canonical, but all posts have been entered the exact same way. Please help!

Hello,
I apologize for the issue you are facing with your posts not being added to the sitemap. It sounds frustrating, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
Here are a few things you can check:
-
Custom Canonicals: If any of your posts have a custom canonical URL set, they will not appear in the sitemap. Rank Math includes a self-referencing canonical for all posts by default. If you want all your posts to be shown in the sitemap, please ensure that you remove any custom canonical URLs from those posts.
-
Robots.txt File: Make sure that your robots.txt file is not blocking any of the posts from being indexed. You can check this by going to Rank Math SEO → General Settings → robots.txt.
-
Plugin Conflicts: Sometimes, other plugins can conflict with Rank Math. You can use the Health Check plugin to identify any potential conflicts.
-
Caching Issues: Since you’ve mentioned clearing caches, ensure that there are no additional caching layers (like server-side caching) that might be affecting the sitemap generation.
If you’ve checked all these and the issue persists, please reply to this ticket with your site URL so that we can investigate further. A human agent from our support team will take over and assist you more effectively.
Thank you for your patience!
Yes, I have done these things. I need to speak with a human agent.
Sorry, I forgot to give you my site url is https://lifesyearning.com/
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Can you please share the affected post URLs that are not showing on your sitemap so that we can check the issue further for you?
Meanwhile, please try to follow the steps below and see if that works for you:
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/For more details on this issue, you can check this URL: https://rankmath.com/kb/url-not-in-sitemap/
Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.
There are more. There are 298 posts and only 212 showing on the site maps. However, the second site map with only 12 posts, google search console is saying it cannot fetch that site map at all.
I have cleared all the caches multiple times and have had WPX also clear caches. It does not help.
Hello,
Thank you for your patience.
Some of the URLs you shared are already included in your sitemap.
However, for some that are still not showing, you may follow this guide:
https://rankmath.com/kb/url-not-in-sitemap/If the issue persists, then we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
We really look forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
We’ve checked your sitemaps, and they are still cached.
The issue was fixed upon following these steps:
https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDpIn this case, please exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/Looking forward to helping you.
That is awesome! Thank you, Reinelle. It looks like it is fixed to me. Do I still need to add the code etc to my WP3 Cache plugin or did you already do that? I believe there is also a server at WPX. Do they need to do that too? Thanks again!
Hello,
No, we didn’t exclude the sitemap files from your caching plugin. We suggest you do that by following this guide so you don’t face the issue again in the future: https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/
Regarding the server, if you’re using server-side caching, we suggest you exclude the sitemap files from there also.
Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.
Thank you.Okay, will do. Thank you.
Hello,
