Post Title Structure Not Showing Properly on Google Search Result

#530889
  • Hi, I have been using the Rank Math plugin on my site (swotwizard.com). For each blog post title, the structure is (%title% %sep% %sitename%). But on google search result, it shows only (%title%). Not showing site name.

As an example: one of my blog post title should be “Netflix SWOT Analysis 2023 | SWOT Wizard” according to the mentioned structure. But when I search on google, it shows only “Netflix SWOT Analysis 2023”. It only happening for certain posts. Some posts are working fine.

    How can I solve it?

    Thanks.

  • Hello,

Thanks for contacting us, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I looked over your website’s source code, and everything seemed fine. As the description or title that appears in SERPs is chosen by Google automatically, sometimes Google may not choose your customized meta description / title. Google displays according to what the user search query is and we hardly have any control over that.

You may read this article: Why Google Might Choose Not to Use Your Meta Description(https://rankmath.com/kb/different-meta-title-and-description/#meta-description-rewrites) and try to improve your description.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Thank you.

I forgot to mention another thing.

All of my posts are selected as “Article” schema markup. And I just have noticed now that the article schema headline was “%seo_title%”

Is it somehow created the problem?

    Hello,

It is difficult to determine why Google changed the meta title and description as they do it for most meta tags. You can refer to this article for more information: https://www.searchenginejournal.com/google-rewrites-meta-descriptions-over-70-of-the-time/

Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have questions.
