For initial troubleshooting, please follow these steps to flush your sitemap cache:
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:

3. Disable the transient cache for the sitemap by applying this filter. This will make sure that your XML sitemap always reflects the latest changes on your site:

* Filter if XML sitemap transient cache is enabled.

* @param boolean $unsigned Enable cache or not, defaults to true
*/
add_filter( 'rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching', '__return_false');

Hi,
thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately none of the steps helped with my problem.
It’s not about caching. I can enable the category sitemap and it works instantaneously.
Also the post and page sitemap can be disabled and enabled and this reflects immediately in the sitemap_index.xml.
Only the tag sitemap does not work at all.
Tags are not empty and tags are not set to “Index”.

If you’re still facing the issue, please clear your website and browser cache and check again.
However, it looks like you’re currently using the Rank Math PRO plugin on your website, but the account you have used to open this ticket is the Rank Math free version.

Thanks for coming back to me.
I changed the Tag setting in rank-math-options-titles by disabling Tag Archive Robot-Meta.
Then I realized, the tag sitemap is working but I couldn’t edit my tags anymore.
So, I re-enabled the Tag Archive Robot-Meta and now it’s seems to be alright.
