Hello. My website was working well a few days back and was updating well via google search console.

My sitemap_index.xml fetches most of my content but not my posts anymore.

It says on google search “Couldn’t fetch.” When I open up the sitemap, it shows a WordPress critical error.

    https://www.eternalquotes.com/post-sitemap.xml

My log/error information is in the sensitive data.

Please help, it is driving me mad. I have nearly lost my website twice by following various tips that didn’t work. Thank god for backup though.

    Thanks

    Seb

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

I’ve checked your post sitemap, and it is getting a critical error message. From the error log you have shared, it seems that the memory on your site is getting exhausted.

For initial troubleshooting, please check your site’s configuration if there are some PHP values that are too low and that you should increase. Please get in touch with your web host and ask them to set the following values:

    PHP Memory Limit: 512M
    Max input time: 150
    PHP time limit: 120
    PHP max input variables: 1000

Let us know how this goes.

    Thank you.

Hi. I have done what you have recommended and unfortunately it doesn’t work still.

Google search console says that: post-sitemap.xml is showing a general http error 500. In rank math, it directs me to a critical wordpress error.

    Thanks

    Seb

    Hello,

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

Hi, I couldn’t find my ticket on desktop, only mobile through email. Just seeing if this is still been looked into and did I give the correct details?

    Thanks

    Seb

    Hello,

    Thank you for your patience.

I’ve tried checking your site using the Health Check plugin, but the issue still persists.

Allow me to further check this one with our dev team. We should get back to you shortly with an update.

We appreciate your time and patience on this one.

    Thank you.

Just adding to my last email. I have changed the direction of my url to https//eternalwuotes.com but I still get critical error when opening post sitemap and the post sitemap can’t be fetched.

    Hello,

We debugged the issue with the sitemap and found that is related to the memory on your server being exhausted when the generation is happening.

This is the error message that was triggered from that error:

PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted

When we set the number of links per sitemap much lower (20 URLs) the sitemap generated correctly.

Hope this helps clarify the situation.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

    Thanks for looking into it.

I saw that it says it works well with validator sitemap website.

When I try to add the sitemap_index.xml on google search console, it says there is a general HTTP 403 error and it couldn’t fetched.

    Any ideas on this?

    Many thanks

    Seb

    Hello,

I checked your website in an HTTP status checker tool and indeed the 3 variations of your sitemaps are throwing a 403 error as you can see in my screenshot below:

    403

This may be related to your Cloudflare configuration. Kindly check this one with your hosting provider.

    Looking forward to helping you.
