    Hello. Salam!

I’m already in conversation with another support ticket but after a short research, I’ve found that the issue might be related to the sitemaps that I’ve submitted in GSC. Unfortunately, unlike my other websites, when I submit ‘sitemap_index.xml’ in GSC, only ‘page-sitemap.xml’ and ‘category-sitemap.xml’ are submitted and the posts sitemap ‘post-sitemap.xml’ is missing (Image Below).

Here’s the screenshot of submitted sitemaps via RankMath:

I’ve to submit it separately. Yes! that may work BUT I want the post sitemap to be submitted under main ‘sitemap_index.xml’. Please guide me about the issue. I’ll be grateful to the team!!

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for the delay and inconvenience caused.

Please note that Google crawls the sitemap and website according to the authority and crawl budget of the website.

However, please ensure that the sitemaps are excluded from the caching.

    You can follow this guide:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

Once done, clear your website cache and resubmit the sitemap in the Search Console.

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.

Hey there! Thanks for the late reply 😁
I’m NOT USING any cache plug in on my site!! And from the date I’ve posted this ticket, none of my new-posts URLs is getting submitted or indexed. Google keeps showing: “URL is unknown to Google.”

    So, what to do?

    Hello,

Please may you share a screenshot of the details section in your index coverage report: https://search.google.com/search-console/index. This report will show any issues which may be preventing your posts from being indexed.

    Looking forward to helping you.

Yar Why not this code is working….!!!

    Lemme provide the links!

Here are the links to screenshots.

But I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it. Yes, not indexed is there BUT the main issue I’m facing is “Search Console is showing –

    URL is Unknown to Google

    – on every post, I publish in the future! Means now.

    <a href="https://ibb.co/ygm6w37"><img src="https://i.ibb.co/c2K6GmV/GSC-1.png" alt="GSC-1" border="0"></a>

    Here it is…

    Hello,

This status is shown if Google hasn’t crawled the URL. As I said earlier, Google crawls the sitemap and website according to the authority and crawl budget of the website.

To fix Unknown to Google issue, run a live inspection, fix any issues you might see, and submit the page for indexing.

    Looking forward to helping you.

Everything is neat and clear on TEST LIVE URL test!

    Hello,

Thank you for your patience as we look into your sitemap not being read in GSC. The best solution to speed up your post sitemap being discovered and crawled would be to manually submit the post sitemap in GSC. Note that this does not guarantee that your sitemap will be discovered and crawled but it usually speeds up the process.

This is a common issue for new websites. You can refer to the following Google support forum for more information: https://support.google.com/webmasters/thread/152683349/my-sitemap-is-not-read?hl=en

    Hope that helps.

Okay then… Why not this link is indexed even after 11 days? I have submitted the post sitemap weeks ago, separately.

    Hello,

Please note that crawling and indexing of the website depend on the authority and crawl budget of the website.

It is completely up to Google if they want to index or not index your website. So, if you haven’t willingly or accidentally made your posts noindex and Google still isn’t indexing your posts – it means that either Google doesn’t want to index or hasn’t crawled your post yet because it hasn’t allocated that much crawl budget to your website.

Please check this website for more details.

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.
